There are stories that pass through the headlines and fade — and then there are the ones that stay. Goon Girl is one of those for me.
When I first heard what happened in July 2022, it shook me deeply. The event itself was confronting, but it was the disturbing aftermath eight months later — and all the quiet truths hidden between those dates — that made me want to tell Christina’s story.
She was a flawed and troubled woman who, in her final moments, just wanted the world to be quiet.
As I began to uncover the layers, I realised how much more there was to tell… how much more needed to be understood.
This film is my attempt to explore that space — not through shock or spectacle, but through humanity.
As this film is being developed for Netflix, the film’s style has shifted toward storytelling — toward the people, their choices, their pain, and the moments that connected them.
The preview I’m sharing with you isn’t just a teaser; it’s the heartbeat of the film in its earliest form. It’s raw, reflective, and deeply personal. Because in a parallel universe, Christina Revels-Glick is me, and I am her.
