Film №221  ·  Synopsis

by Missy Jubilee

There is nothing on earth

like the love of a child

that passes unnoticed in the dark

because she has no hope.

Her love is submissive,

so much a servant’s love,

passionate and lying in wait,

in a way that the avid

yet unconsciously demanding love

of a grown woman can never be.

Fear motivates,

more than love

or ambition

or joy.

Fear is more powerful

than anything else in the world.

Having lived a few weeks since viewing your video essay; I have realised that my background processing has been busy. I have subconsciously been thinking about your film. This is unusual behaviour for me, I am feeling a strong desire to tell you about it. So here I am thumping needlessly hard on my keyboard.

When I think of you, I imagine a person living alone. The debris of life piling up in the corners of the room. Used coffee cups with sugary residue, black bin bags of clothes or bedding awaiting a charity shop drop off. I imagine you coming home (maybe from work) and dropping heavily onto the sofa in front of the television and wondering what (if anything) you could be bothered to make for yourself to eat. Something (you conclude) that would be flavoursome enough to satisfy your salt and fat cravings, but simple enough to produce without effort. A takeaway is tempting but unjustifiable, especially without company.

Then I imagine you turning your thoughts to the project. It must seem like a weight to be carried sometimes. An effort. Another motivational push that could (so easily) be put off for another hour/day/week.

After squeakily scraping your crumbs into the kitchen bin and loading the dishwasher; you might step out into the evening light of the garden and light a cigarette. Your eyes alighting on the patch of grass where you sat naked waiting for him to find you. Legs spread, ready. The memory is blurred by other memories; naked in the car with his hand between your legs, naked on the sofa with your hands tied behind your back, his fingers inside you.

You stub out your cigarette suddenly motivated to sit at the computer and work on your thoughts now that they are tumbling effortlessly from your head. Time passes quickly, arousal makes working on some video clips you pull up out of your project file troublesome as you find your hands wanting to grab needily at your body to erase a sexual itch that overwhelms occasionally. But eventually the visuals of the film are complete.

Resplendent and satisfying. It will be morning soon you think as you collapse into bed. Pulling your notebook towards you, you begin to write.

Part 2: "Subsex" (05 Jul 2024)

I have listened to words spoken with honest sincerity about submissiveness. I have also read excessively on hypothetical and quite frankly embarrassing interpretations of BDSM relationships. Life is a journey and the important thing is to do the things that bring you joy. If that is relinquishing control, in a consensual 🤜 safe manner, then happy days. I personally find that some people are quite 'controlling' in their behaviour and I personally find that unbearable.

The film starts with 'Im gonna be a film star...fuck it', 'No a porn star not a film star Ricky...there's a big difference', 'There's not that much of a difference...its still film....'

The clip is dripping with sarcasm. There is definitely room for sex in film. Even explicit sex IMHO. The issue is most porn has a deficiency of artistic content, recognition of the actors, and production, and far too much exploitation of men and women to cross into mainstream cinema.

The clip about role playing Dobby makes me remember; there is a kink for everybody. But some are kinkier than others.

There is something that simmers inside of me\ it is something that worries me when I dip into it. It is something I am afraid to acknowledge.\ I'm clawing the bars to break free of the cage I'm trapped in.\ I bang on the doors of my body. Begging to be let go. Begging to be free.\ I open my mouth to shout, but my vocal chords have been cut.\ every night, I re-live this same glorious nightmare.
